David Lowe

David D. Lowe, 55, of Erie, passed away on Nov. 7, 2016, at home.

Born on Dec. 6, 1960, he was the son of the late Florence M. and George T. Lowe of Youngsville.

David graduated from Youngsville High School and went on to live in Erie.

He worked as a salad and pastry chef for 24 years at the Puffer Belly restaurant in Erie.

He loved to cook and bake for his family and friends. He created many different and creative vegetable dishes at Christmas time. He was famous for making the best peanut butter pie ever.

One of his favorite things in the world was cars. He loved putting models together and had a great collection of Hot Wheels.

He also enjoyed taking care of his many plants.

David will be remembered for his loving spirit and helpfulness to anybody he met.

David is survived by his sister, Susan (Raymond) DeVore of Endeavor, two brothers Michael Lowe of Irvine, and Phillip (Lisa) Lowe of Busti, N.Y. Also surviving are  niece Jodi (Robert) Patchen of Warren, great nephews Noah, Isaac, and Seth, nephew Adam (Leslie) DeVore of Tidioute, great nieces Arreanna and Lainey, niece Jessica Lowe and nephew Michael Lowe of Busti.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Second Harvest Food Bank, 1507 Grimm Road, Erie, PA, 16501.
