City of Warren
Simple Assault. Larry Babcock Sr., 36, of Warren, was charged with simple assault on Wednesday, October 2, after officers responded to a report of an assault.
Public Drunkenness. Rodney Wilkins, 38, of Warren, was cited for public drunkenness on Thursday, October 3, after officers responded to a report of an unresponsive male.
Aggravated Assault. A 12-year-old juvenile was charged with aggravated assault and disorderly conduct on Friday, October 4, after officers responded to a report of an assault.
Harassment. Justin Johnson, 29, of Warren, was cited twice for harassment on Sunday, October 6, after officers responded to a domestic dispute. Nicole Johnson, 30, of Warren, was cited for harassment in the same situation.
DUI/Public Drunkenness. Scott Wallace, 62, of Warren, was charged with DUI – general impairment, public drunkenness, damage to unattended vehicle, reckless driving, careless driving and impersonating a public servant on Monday, October 7, after officers responded to a hit and run accident.
Two-Vehicle Accident. At 7:12 a.m., Tuesday, October 8, Brion A. Thomas, 49, of Clarendon, was traveling east on Route 6 and attempted to turn across the westbound lane in front of Walter S. Cook’s, 70, of Sheffield, vehicle into a private driveway. Cook was traveling west on Route 6 and was unable to stop before colliding with the trailer being hault by Thomas’s vehicle. Thomas’s trailer was struck at the 5 o’clock position while Cook’s vehicle sustained damage at the 2 o’clock position. Cook’s vehicle came to a final rest facing west along the westbound lane. Thomas’s vehicle came to final rest in the private driveway facing north, No airbags were deployed. All occupants of both vehicles were wearing seatbelts. Thomas reported no injuries. Cook and his passenger, Annie E. Cook, 71, of Sheffield, reported no injury. Cook’s vehicle was towed from the scene by Johnson’s Tire Service. Thomas was charged with vehicle turning left.
