A free information session about CBD will be held on Wednesday, May 29 at 6:30 p.m. at The Crossing, 350 Pennsylvania Ave. West in Warren. The Crossing is located on the corner of Hickory Street and Pennsylvania Avenue.

Dr. Scott Newton, of Gaughn’s Drug Store, along with Im-bue Botanicals owner and Vice-President, Chris Jurist will share the information they know regarding CBD and will have time to answer any questions .

CBD stands for cannabidiol. It is the second most prevalent of the active ingredients of cannabis (marijuana). While CBD is an essential component of medical marijuana, it is derived directly from the hemp plant, which is a cousin of the marijuana plant.

The information session is free and open to the public.
