Warren man flown to hospital after NY crash
CASSADAGA, N.Y. — A crash Thursday morning sent a Warren man to the hospital, according to The Post-Journal.
Chautauqua County (N.Y.) sheriff’s deputies responded at 7:45 a.m. with Cassadaga and Fredonia (N.Y.) firefighters to a motor vehicle crash on Dale Drive in Cassadaga. At the scene, deputies made contact with 41-year-old Elizabeth J. Johnson and 53-year-old Timothy Lahue.
Johnson was driving when she reportedly lost control “due to unsafe speed for the icy road conditions” and struck a tree, according to the Sheriff’s office.
Lahue was flown by helicopter to UPMC Hamot in Erie for a head injury. Johnson, who was evaluated at the scene but refused treatment, was issued a traffic ticket for speed not reasonable or prudent.
