Meeting set for Tidioute bridge replace
PennDOT will host a public meeting regarding the replacement of the Tidioute Enterprise Road bridge.
The bridge is located about two-and-a-half miles east of Route 27, according to a Friday release from PennDOT, and crosses Pine Creek.
According to PennDOT, the bridge carries average daily traffic of about 375 vehicles. It was built in 1917 and is in “poor condition.”
The project includes replacement of the bridge and updated guide rails. The work is expected to be done in the 2019 construction season.
The expected detour involves routes 127, 227, and 27.
The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Monday, March 4, at Enterprise United Methodist Church, Southwest Township. According to PennDOT, “The plans display is an opportunity for the public to review and comment on the project” including the “potential effect upon on cultural resources.”
