Conewango Twp.

Theft. Conewango Township police report Brian J. Plaatje, of Gerry, N.Y. was charged with one misdemeanor count of retail theft. Plaatje is accused of taking two Douglas tires from a retail store in North Warren on Jan. 3 at approximately 3:25 p.m. The tires are valued at $168.

Theft. Conewango Township police report Kimberlee L. Shine, of Warren was charged with one misdemeanor count of retail theft in connection to an incident on Dec. 23 at approximately 2:46 p.m. at a retail store in North Warren. Shine is accused of failing to scan $49.16 worth of items while using the self-checkout and attempting to leave the store without paying for the merchandise.

Mead Twp.

Disorderly conduct. State police at the Warren barracks report a 34-year-old Clarendon woman was cited for disorderly conduct following an incident at Route 6 and Cherry Grove Road on Jan.14 at approximately 6:30 p.m. A 26-year-old Clarendon woman reported the woman pounded on the windshield and side of her vehicle and stood behind the vehicle in an attempt to prevent her from leaving. The woman also attempted to follow her from the residence in another vehicle. Police did not name either woman involved in the incident.

McKean County

Active shooter training exercise. State police and Kane Borough police will be conducting an Active Shooter Training Exercise at Kane elementary, middle and high schools on Monday, Jan. 21 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. The training is being administered by State Police Special Emergency Response Team (SERT). It is intended to better prepare law enforcement officers to respond to active shooter threats. The exercise is not open to the public. No students will take part in the event. Monday is a scheduled teacher inservice day. Local residents should expect to see a large police presence at the schools. There will be no impact to the community or any street closures.
