Chautauqua County, N.Y.

Lost calves. Chautauqua County Sheriff’s office received a call on Dec. 4 at approximately 3:51 a.m. reporting several loose calves in the west bound lane of Interstate 86 in the town of Sherman. Several calves were injured and apparently fell out of the back of a truck. Five injured calves were located in New York and three more in Pennsylvania. The five calves in New York were taken by a local farmer for now. If anyone locates any more calves they should contact the sheriff’s office at 716-753-2131.

Jamestown, N.Y.

Fugitive from justice. Jamestown Police officers responded to City Court on Dec. 4 at about 10 a.m. for a report of a fugitive from justice. Isayah J. Baker, 20, of Jamestown was located and arrested based on a warrant out of Warren County. He was taken to the city jail where he is being held awaiting arraignment.

Warren County

Bench warrant. Warren County Sheriff’s Office arrested Blake Truver, 26, of Jamestown, N.Y. for failure to pay or report to the Warren County jail to commence a 30-day sentence. The warrant was issued on Sept, 15, 2017. He was transported to the Warren County jail on Dec. 4 to serve his sentence.
