Tornado warning issued – UPDATED

A tornado warning has been issued for Forest, McKean and Warren County, Pa until Tue Oct 2, at 11:00 pm.

According to Forecaster Charles Ross with the National Weather Service in State College, “a strong storm with a history of tornadoes in Crawford County is currently headed from the west toward the southern portion of the county” as of 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. “There will be pretty strong winds, some hail is possible, and an isolated tornado is definitely possible at this point.”

Ross added that the worst of the hazardous weather should be through the county in the next few hours, but that “it’s definitely worth keeping an eye on the sky,” adding that “while nothing has been spotted at this point, it’s definitely worth paying attention to the weather, and any NWS alerts, for the next few hours or so.”
