Warren man jailed for alleged drug sale
A Warren man was jailed Friday for allegedly selling Suboxone in the city.
According to a police affidavit of probable cause, Randall S. Zaner, 52, of Warren, made arrangements to sell a strip of the pain management drug Suboxone at a predetermined location. After Zaner did provide one strip of Suboxone for $20, he told the buyer that he could get more Suboxone and arrangements were made for Zaner to meet the buyer at the same location later that day.
Later that day, the buyer purchased another strip of Suboxone from Zaner for the same price, the affidavit states.
Zaner faces two felony counts of manufacture, delivery, or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver, and one felony count of criminal use of a communication facility.
Zaner was placed in the Warren County Jail on $45,000 bail, which was later reduced to $15,000. He awaits a preliminary hearing scheduled for 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 19.
