Burglary. Warren-based state police reported that sometime between July 7 and 8 a.m. September 7 someone entered a garage belonging to a known 57-year-old male, Pittsfield, at a Mickle Hill Road residence and removed several items – two crossbows and a ground breaking axe – valued at a total of $320.
Crash. Warren-based state police responded to a one-vehicle crash on the Old Garland Rd. east of Cole Hill Rd. on September 7 at 5:12 p.m. A 2017 Jeep Patriot, driven by Erin C. Patz, 33, Garland, was traveling west when a deer came out from the south side of the roadway. This caused Patz to swerve to miss the deer. The vehicle then left the roadway and struck a tree head on. According to police, Garland VFD transported Patz from the scene and assisted police at the scene.
Theft. Warren-based state police said a known 65-year-old male reported that a bicycle was stolen from the front porch of his Youngsville Rd. residence sometime between 8 a.m. September 10 and 8 a.m. September 11. According to police, the bike is bright yellow with black tires. A known 28-year-old male is listed on a release as a suspect, but is not identified. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police.
Chautauqua County, N.Y.
Possession. The Jamestown Police Department reported that at around 1:15 a.m. Sept. 11, police observed a vehicle make an improper left turn onto E. 6th St. in Jamestown. Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle in the area of E. 6th St. and N. Main St. Officers could see a glass methamphetamine pipe in plain view. Officers conducted a search of the vehicle and located two grams of methamphetamine, a quantity of alprazolam and suboxone pills, a digital scale, packing material and metal knuckle knife. Police said that the operator of the vehicle, Jack E. Ferry, 42, Warren, was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal possession of a weapon and aggravated unlicensed operation. The front seat passenger, Justin S. Ludwig, 37, Warren, was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance while the back seat passenger, Garson E. Butcher, 26, Jamestown, N.Y., was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminally using drug paraphernalia. Police said all subjects were transported to the Jamestown City Jail where they are being held until arraignment.
