The most serious charges from an incident where a firearm was allegedly pointed in the face of another were withdrawn on Wednesday.

Joshua Newland Moore III, 58, Pittsfield, was charged over the weekend with aggravated assault, terroristic threats and harassment.

As a result of a preliminary hearing on Wednesday, the aggravated assault and terroristic threats charges were withdrawn while the harassment charge – a summary offense – was re-categorized as a non-traffic offense.
