Weekend DUI patrol results

A total of 36 traffic stops were conducted during Friday’s DUI patrols by officers from Youngsville, Conewango Township, Warren City, and the Sheriff’s Office.

According to Youngsville Chief of Police Todd Mineweaser, officers made 36 stops for moving, nonmoving, or equipment violations over the weekend. Two arrests were made for DUI, in addition to one subject being taken into custody for warrants out of Allegheny County, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, and theft. One female subject was cited for driving with a suspended license and a search of her vehicle resulted in “several different types of drugs” being located inside. Charges are pending analysis from the State Police drug lab, Mineweaser said, and she will also be be charged with possession with the intent to deliver and drug paraphernalia.

“Several stops were made for careless driving, leaving their lane of travel, following too closely, red light violations, and seat belts,” said Mineweaser.

A total of 21 warnings were given.
