Missing Conewango Township man

Photo provided by the Conewango Township Police Department Sven Blumquist, a Conewango Township resident, has been reported as a missing after he failed to return home after attending the Blue Heron Music Festival in Sherman, NY this past weekend.

A Conewango Township man has been declared missing.

Sven Blumquist was last seen on Saturday, July 6, at approximately 1 a.m., according to Conewango Township Police Chief Jason Peters.

“New York State Police, Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office and New York Forest Rangers are assisting by searching the Sherman, N.Y. area where Sven was last seen,” Peters said.

Blumquist attended the Blue Heron Music Festival in Sherman this weekend.

Peters said that Blumquist was last seen wearing a red zip-up hoodie, blue jeans and a bandana.

“Sven was to have returned home on Sunday,” Peters said. “Family and friends are actively searching, as well.”

Peters said that Blumquist was listed as a missing person by his department and entered into the FBI’s National Crime Information Center because he is a township resident
