Police investigating pair of vehicle thefts

City of Warren Police are investigating a pair of vehicle thefts that occurred over the weekend.

According to police, the first incident occurred in the area of Frank St. The stolen vehicle was a red in color, 2000 Dodge Dakota pickup and the theft took place between the hours 9:00 p.m. Friday and 4:45 a.m. this Saturday.

The remains of the vehicle were recovered by the Pennsylvania State Police after a vehicle fire was reported on Jackson Ave. Extension at approximately 5:04 a.m.

The second incident occurred in the 300 block of East Fifth Ave.

The stolen vehicle was a brown in color, 2003 Ford F-250 pickup with a wooden bed and missing cab lights. The theft took place at approximately 5:00 a.m. Sunday morning. The vehicle was observed by its owner traveling away from the home toward Conewango Ave. where its direction of travel became unknown.

City police reported on Sunday that the vehicle was located and returned to its owner.

Both incidents are currently under investigation.
