Warren man killed in one-vehicle accident

A Warren man was pronounced dead at the scene following a one-vehicle accident on Saturday night.

According to Pennsylvania State Police, Nathan A. Park, 22, was traveling south on Conewango Avenue in Glade Township at 10:11 p.m. when the accident occurred 482 feet north of Pamela Drive.

Police say the vehicle was engaged in a left-hand turn when it drifted onto the western berm and continued in a southwesternly direction as it traveled 300 feet along an embankment leaning away from the roadway. The vehicle’s right wheels then dipped into a depression that was located 19 feet west of the roadway, causing the wheels to lift off the ground as the vehicle struck the south side of the depression. The vehicle then became airborne, traveling 48 feet in a southern direction as it rotated counter-clockwise and rolled towards its right side. The vehicle landed on the south side of the driveway at 1235 Conewango Avenue on its front right wheel and corner before bouncing upward and rotating onto its right side as it traveled south. The vehicle then struck a tree with the roof of its cab and partially folded around the tree, before coming to rest facing south around the tree.

State Police were assisted at the scene by the Glade Township Fire Department and Deputy Coroner Melissa Zydonik.
