Threat lands Beaty student in custody

Another student is in custody at a juvenile placement center after making a threat against a student last week.

According to City of Warren Police, a 14-year-old male, of Warren, was taken into custody after police responded to an incident at Beaty-Warren Middle School at 9:45 p.m. Friday.

Police said the juvenile was involved in an argument with another student at the beginning of the school day.

“The accused then asked another student to provide him with a gun so he could shoot the victim at school the following day,” police said.

The student was charged in a juvenile petition with terroristic threats and disorderly conduct. Police said he was given into the custody of Warren County Juvenile Probation and placed at Hermitage House Youth Services in Cambridge Springs until a shelter hearing can be scheduled.
