Accused murderer ruled competent to stand trial
A Chandlers Valley man accused of murdering his wife was found competent Thursday to stand trial.
Matthew B. White, 35, further requested that his counsel be discharged and that he be allowed to represent himself in the case moving forward.
A hearing is scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 20.
White is accused of shooting his wife, Jessica L. White, four times, killing her, at their Chandlers Valley Home in June, 2017.
Thursday’s competency hearing was closed due to the confidential nature of the information.
