Two plead guilty, eight not at change of plea

Two guilty pleas were entered and eight defendants pleaded not guilty during arraignment and change of plea proceedings before Judge Gregory Hammond on Thursday at the Warren County Courthouse.

The following defendants pleaded guilty:

¯ Clifton B. Larson, Warren, to DUI: General impairment/incapable of safe driving with refusal – fourth offense and restrictions on alcoholic beverages. Charges of BAC .02 or greater – second offense and subsequent conviction general offenses were not prosecuted.

¯ Dusty R. Allison, Jamestown, NY, to possession of drug paraphernalia, DUI: Controlled substance – impaired ability – first offense, recklessly endangering another person and careless driving. Charges of possession of a controlled substance, driving on right side of roadway and driving on roadways laned for traffic were not prosecuted.

The following defendants pleaded not guilty:

¯ Dustin L. Campbell, Warren. Campbell has been charged with two counts of conspiracy (possession with intent to deliver) and a single count of (conspiracy) criminal use of a communications facility.

¯ James C. Ecklund, Warren. Ecklund has been charged with aggravated assault, two counts of terroristic threats, simple assault, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, public drunkenness, harassment and disorderly conduct obscene language/gesture.

¯ Timothy R. Hoffman, Clarendon. Hoffman has been charged with DUI: General impairment/incapable of safe driving – first offense, DUI: High rate of alcohol – first offense, improper tires, restrictions on alcoholic beverages, operating a vehicle without valid inspection, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness.

¯ Michelle M. James, Warren. James has been charged with DUI: Controlled substance – schedule I – first offense, DUI: Controlled substance – impaired ability – first, marijuana – small amount personal use, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving an unregistered vehicle, disregard traffic lane, prohibiting text-based communications, careless driving and operating a vehicle without a valid inspection.

¯ Amanda M. Peterson, Warren. Peterson has been charged with aggravated assault, criminal attempt – simple assault, disorderly conduct engage in fighting, harassment, public drunkenness and resisting arrest/other law enforcement.

¯ Cole M. Rieder, Warren. Rieder has been charged with simple assault, harassment and terroristic threats.

¯ Tyler J. Seybert, Pittsfield. Seybert has been charged at two dockets with the following offenses: Possession with intent to deliver, possession of a controlled substance, criminal use of a communications facility, two counts each of DUI: Controlled substance – impaired ability – first offense and possession of drug paraphernalia and single counts of dissem/publish of fake/misleading adv, careless driving, disregard traffic lane, fail to keep right and driving at safe speed.

¯ Caleb N. Smith, Tidioute. Smith has been charged with DUI: General impairment/incapable of safe driving – first offense, DUI: Highest rate of alcohol – first offense, possession of drug paraphernalia, fail to keep right and careless driving.
