Charges are withdrawn against two at prelims

Three defendants pleaded guilty, charges were withdrawn against two and one was held for court during preliminary hearings held on Wednesday at the Warren County Courthouse.

The following pleaded guilty:

¯ Ryan Sydney Monaco, Warren, to possession of drug paraphernalia and required financial responsibility. Charges of improper tires and vehicle registration suspended were withdrawn.

¯ Kimberlee L. Shine, Warren, to possession of drug paraphernalia. A count of marijuana – small amount of personal use was withdrawn.

¯ Michael Shane Ray Reynolds, Warren, to possession of a controlled substance.

Charges were withdrawn against the following:

¯ Charges of conspiracy engaging (endangering the welfare of children – parent/guardian/other commits offense and conspiracy engaging (theft by unlawful taking) were withdrawn against Travis A. Whipple, Sheffield.

¯ Charges of simple assault and disorderly conduct were withdrawn against Samuel James Nicholson, Tidioute. A count of harassment was re-categorized as a non-traffic offense.

Scott Douglas Piper, Latrobe, Pa., was held for court. He faces charges of marijuana – small amount personal use, possession of drug paraphernalia, DUI: General impairment/incapable of safe driving – first offense, DUI: Highest rate of alcohol – first offense, DUI: Con sub – combo alcohol/drugs – first offense, careless driving and restrictions on alcoholic beverages.
