Man found guilty of DUI charges
An Irvine man has been found guilty of DUI-related offenses in the wake of a Monday bench trial.
Arthur R. Gruber, 13 Hazel St., was found guilty as charged on counts of DUI: General impairment/incapable of safe driving with accident – first offense, careless driving, limitations on backing and accident damage to unattended vehicle or property, according to a release.
According to the amended criminal information, Gruber “did drive a vehicle after imbibing a sufficient amount of alcohol such that (he) was rendered incapable of driving safely, which resulted in an accident.”
While driving under the influence of alcohol and marijuana, Gruber drove his vehicle into a parked vehicle and left the scene without contacting the owner.
Assistant District Attorney Kord Kinney prosecuted the case for the Commonwealth while Robert Kinnear represented Gruber. Senior Judge William Morgan presided over the trial.
