School bus accident results in no injuries

According to Warren County School District’s Transportation and Purchasing Manager Mike Kiehl, a small bus accident left students in need of alternative rides to school on Wednesday morning.

“One of the Warren County School District buses and a bus that services BEi were passing on Hemlock (Road) going in opposite directions,” Kiehl said. “The road is narrow and the WCSD bus struck the guard rail.”

Kiehl said no injuries were reported at the scene and the two students on the bus were checked by their respective school nurses, with no injuries reported by nurses.

Kiehl said a bus was sent to pick up students still at their stops, although by the time the second bus could be dispatched it was running about a half hour later than usual. Those students who were late as a result were not given tardies for the day, Kiehl said.
