A Youngsville man has been charged with multiple felonies stemming from a February 2016 burglary at the Youngsville Hardware Store.

Jamie Delbert Crick, 41, of Youngsville, faces two counts of felony burglary, two felony counts of theft by unlawful taking, one felony count of criminal trespassing, one felony count of receiving stolen property, one misdemeanor count of criminal mischief, and one misdemeanor count of loitering and prowling at night time, after the alleged incident on February 11, 2016.

Youngsville Police reported they were called to investigate an overnight burglary on February 11, 2016, at the Youngsville Hardware Store at 718 North Main St. According to police, the manager of the store called police to alert them that when he had come in to work that morning, he observed that a side door of the business had been pried open and busted.

While investigating the crime, Youngsville Police observed through video surveillance a masked person enter the store through a side door, which had been opened with a pry bar. The masked person carried several items out of the store before leaving in a dark-colored truck.

After several months of investigation, Youngsville Police were able to determine that Crick was the offender.

Youngsville Police said that Crick has admitted to the burglary at Youngsville Hardware Store, as well as several other burglaries in the area. Crick also advised an investigator that he has a serious drug habit.

Crick alerted police that they will not be able to recover guns that he had stolen because the man he sold them to is now in prison. The man Crick was referring to was Billy Ray Gordon, 57, of Erie. Gordon has been charged with multiple serious crimes recently. He was charged with stabbing his wife, Linda, to death in Erie this summer, and was also charged with armed robbery of the Erie Federal Credit Union at 2436 Buffalo Road on July 14.

Crick and Gordon had previously met in prison, Crick told police.

Crick also told police that cash and coins he had stolen were sold to another male in Johnstown in exchange for drugs.

Youngsville Police said Youngsville Hardware reported a total loss of $7,250 from the burglary.

Crick faces a maximum of 62 years in prison and $130,000 in fines if convicted on all charges.

Bail was set at $50,000 and a preliminary hearing is scheduled for February 1.
