All theft charges withdrawn against Warren woman
All charges against a Warren woman accused of stealing from her employer have been withdrawn.
A preliminary hearing in the case of Maria L. Frontera, 62, Warren, was scheduled for Wednesday.
Instead, the charges were withdrawn.
Frontera was charged in September.
“I am so thankful this nightmare is over and that I can get on with my life,” Frontera said Wednesday. “A lot of damage has been done to my reputation and family name. I am hopeful, now that all the charges have been dropped, restoration of both will come soon.”
“Had there been a two-sided investigation, none of this would have happened,” she said. “I want to particularly thank Robert Kinnear, my attorney. He believed in my innocence.”
In withdrawing the charges, Warren County District Attorney Rob Greene said, “The Commonwealth does not believe there is enough evidence to show beyond a reasonable doubt” that Frontera is guilty of “the charges that were alleged.”
