Become a Library Angel:

Become a Library Angel and help the Youngsville Library. From now through Friday, December 22nd the Youngsville Public Library has a special tree on display near the Circulation Desk. The Library Angel Tree is filled with a variety of ornaments listing basic items (& their costs/donation denomination) that are vital to the survival of the library, everything from custodial supply items to energy-saving lightbulbs to office supplies, acid-free historical collection materials and more (just to name a few).Community members are encouraged to take an ornament from the tree and make a donation at the circulation desk. You will receive a Library Angel ornament to place back on the tree for each Angel-donation that is made. You also have the option to make a donation to honor of someone or in memoriam.

“This annual fundraising event was actually started by the Friends of the Youngsville Library in 2009 in response to the wave of cuts in State and county commissioner support,” stated Library Director Kristy Wallace, “and the Angel Tree has become yet another way for our library to try to counteract a portion of the over $11,000 loss in income that we have been experiencing on a yearly basis since 2009. We can’t express enough how truly grateful we are to every one of our ‘Angels’ who support us every year and patronize our wonderful library.”
