Trick or Treat Hours
October 31, from 6 to 8 p.m., will be Trick or Treat in Youngsville Borough and Brokenstraw Township.
Youngsville Fire Hall Halloween Party
The Youngsville Fire Hall is having a Halloween Party on October 31. The event will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. There will be “treats” for the children; a costume contest; games and food will be available. This is a safe place for your children.
On Saturday, Nov. 19, the Saron Lutheran Church in Youngsville will be hosting a special “Harvest Dinner Benefit” to honor the memory of their organist Connie Hoffman. Turkey and other “Thanksgiving fixings” will be served from 4 to 6 p.m. or while supplies last. The dinner is open to the public and cost is “by donation.” All are welcome to attend. All proceeds raised from this event will be donated to the Youngsville Public Library in memory of Connie Hoffman, Library Board member.
2nd Harvest Produce Express
The 2nd Harvest Produce Express will be at the Otterbein United Methodist Church, 258 Dalrymple St, Pittsfield, on Tuesday, Nov. 7. Food pick-up will begin promptly at 3:30 p.m., serving 100 families on a first come, first serve basis. No pre-registration is necessary. Volunteer workers should arrive by 2 p.m.
A Spaghetti and Meatball Benefit Dinner will be held on Thursday, Oct. 26, at Hessel Valley Lutheran Church, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. House of Hope of Warren County operates a 10-bed transitional residence for women who are released from prison for addiction-related offences. House of Hope’s mission is to provide a safe and structured environment where women will have an opportunity to experience God’s unconditional love, forgiveness, and transforming power enabling them to take advantage of support and resources offered to assist them in becoming healthy, self-sufficient, and contributing members of society.

Winter Wonderland Craft Show
The Annual Winter Wonderland Craft Show will be on Saturday, Nov. 18, at the Youngsville Fire Hall, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. There is free admission, 108 craft tables, and food is available.
There is also a Chinese Auction toward the end of the day.

A committee is being form to keep an old-fashioned hometown Christmas in Youngsville on December 2 from 4 to 6:30 p.m. There will be a parade to bring Santa into town, trolley rides with caroling, games and activities for the kids, entertainment, vendors and an old-fashioned sing-a-long followed by lighting the town Christmas tree. The Homecoming Dance is from 7 to 10 p.m. November 4 at YHS. The theme this year is “A Night in Paris.”
Homecoming tickets are on sale during lunches. Tickets are $5 per student pre-sale or $7 at the door.
Revival Services at Wesleyan Methodist Church of Pittsfield
Revival services will be held on Thursday, Nov. 2, through Sunday, Nov. 5. Services on Thursday, Friday and Saturday night will start at 7 p.m. The Sunday services will be at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. Guest speaker is Reverend Seth Troy and wife from Canton, Ohio.
