Super Bowl 50 Party
Youngsville American Legion Riders will be hosting a Super Bowl 50 Party on February 5th at 5 p.m. at Hallgren- Wilcox Post 658. Food and snacks provided before and during game time. Many door prizes will be given away during the party. There will be a 1st prize drawing at half time; must be present to win. All American Legion members and guests are invited and encouraged to join the fun. All proceeds benefit United Fund of Warren County.
Youngsville Wrestling Boosters Fundraiser
A Spaghetti Dinner will be held on February 10, 2007 at Youngsville Free Methodist Church located at 179 Davis Street to benefit the Youngsville Wrestling Team activities. The dinner will be 4p.m.to 8p.m.; cost is a donation. The dinner includes Spaghetti and meatballs salad, bread and drinks. Take-outs will be available at requests.
“Jump Rope for Heart”
“p1″>YEMS will be participating in “Jump Rope for Heart” in their physical education classes to support the American Heart Association. Information and student packets have gone home with students. Love INC of the Brokenstraw Valley starting a Prayer and Worship Time
Alice Pedersen, Executive Director, of Love INC is setting time apart for those who would like to join a Prayer and Worship Time. The time of the event will be 12:00 – 1:00 pm. On Tuesday, Jan. 24, Youngsville Chapter #478 Order of The Eastern Star was honored to have Officer Scott Neiswonger and his canine companion, Choper, attend a special program to honor our First Responders. Officer Neiswonger gave a presentation explaining how Choper is used in our county to help with crime fighting, and he also explained his relationship with this remarkable animal.
Officer Neiswonger was presented with a certificate and a coin representing Eastern Star’s gratitude to our First Responders by Kathleen Sullivan, Youngsville Chapter Representative and Sue Brittin, Western Chairman for First Responders of the PA Grand Chapter Order of The Eastern Star.
