Wreaths Across America
The AMVETS Post #50 and The American Legion Post #758 hosted Wreaths Across America along with the nationwide ceremony on December 16 at the Wesleyan Cemetery, Route 957, Sugar Grove.
This event happened because of the cooperation of Karen Rutsky, caretaker of the cemetery and Walter Hodges and Dave Younie., Board members of the Wesleyan, along with AMVETS Post 50 and Sugar Grove American Legion Post 758. Over 1,400 cemeteries throughout the United States participated in placing wreaths on graves to honor veterans. The motto of Wreaths Across America is REMEMBER the Fallen, HONOR those who serve and TEACH our children the value of freedom. As a nation we stand together, thanking our Veterans for the freedoms we have. We honor them.
