Wreaths Across America

The AMVETS Post #50 and The American Legion Post #758 will be hosting Wreaths Across America along with the nationwide ceremony at noon Dec. 16 in the Wesleyan Cemetery, Route 957, Sugar Grove. The Wreaths Across America program promises to Remember the fallen, Honor those who serve and their families and teach children the value of freedom. All are welcome to be a part of this special event.

Welcomes Fall

The Mission Covenant Church will once again start its community lunches in October at 11:30 a.m. All in the area are welcome to attend. Community lunches at the Sugar Grove United Methodist Church are held on the second Thursday of each month at 11:30 a.m. The Hessel Valley Church will hold its luncheons on the third Wednesday of each month.

Christmas Walk

The Annual Sugar Grove Christmas will be Friday, Dec. 8, from 5 to 7 p.m. There will be fireworks sponsored by Jeff Gibson presented at 6:45 p.m. They will be viewable from any place in the center of town.

Participating merchants and organizations will hold special holiday activities during this event.

There will also be the Bill Gourley Memorial Hayride.

Pick up a map of the activities in any local Sugar Grove business. Santa will also be arriving at 5 p.m.

Ministry Dinners

The Sugar Grove Free Methodist Church offers Wednesday evening dinners from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in its cafe.

Each week, a different ministry organization of the church prepares family-friendly meals. The cost is a donation. Everyone is welcome. This week, Nov. 29, the dinner benefits the Kids Worship Wednesday night program.
