Car Show

Proceeds from the 22nd Annual Cruise In Car Show on Friday, May 26, benefit the Soldiers and Sailors Home in Erie and the Sugar Grove Food Pantry.

Memorial Day Service

The community of Sugar Grove held its annual Memorial Day Service on Monday, May 29, at 11 a.m. More than 220 community members came out to honor our present and past veterans. The Sugar Grove daisies, brownies, junior and cadet Girl Scouts from troop # 36680 led the community in the Pledge of Allegiance . This was a combined service lead by the American Legion Post 758 and the AMVETS Post 50. American Legion Post Commander and Sugar Grove Mayor Pete Allenson led the welcome and message. The guest speaker was Warren County Commissioner, Ben Kafferlin. A special speaker added this year was Staff Sargent John Rupczyk. John shared stories and answered questions from the crowd about what it was like to serve in France during WWII.

The Honor Guards, the Boy Scouts, the Girl Scouts, the American Legion and the AMVETS organized this event.

WCSD Schedule

Final day of classes for Eisenhower Middle Senior High School and Eisenhower Elementary School will be Friday, June 16. This will be a full day of classes.

Summer Day Camp

The Sugar Grove Free Methodist Church Summer Day Camp will be starting Monday, June 19. For information on registering your child for all the fun summer activities, contact the Summer Day Camp office at 489-3105.

Alumni Luncheon

For those who graduated 50 years ago, there will be an Alumini Luncheon on July 11th at the Youngsville Fire Hall from noon until 4 p.m. This year the YHS Class of 1965 are the hosts and the class of 1966 are the honored guests. Please mark your calendars and plan to attend this enjoyable event. We ask that you bring a dish to share. The meat and cheese trays, beverages, plates and silverware will be provided. The YHS Alumni Association would appreciate any donations to fund future luncheons and the scholarship fund. Donations will be accepted at the luncheon, or if you cannot attend and want to donate, you can send a donation to Mary Ann DeVore, 31 Yucha Drive, Youngsville, PA 16371 or contact 814-563-9873 for more information.

EHS Prom

The Eisenhower High School Prom will be this Saturday, June 3, at the Willow Bay Theater in Jamestown, New York.

Memorial Celebration

There will be a Memorial Celebration for the community at the Sugar Grove Volunteer Fire department on Saturday, June 3 at 1 p.m. to celebrate the life of Herbert Herky Brooks. All are invited to attend.

Preschool Graduation

The Imaginative Preschool recently held its 2017 Graduation Celebration. Congratulations to all the students who will be moving on to kindergarten and those who will be moving up into next year’s 4/5 yr old class. This year’s 4 yr olds were Gabriella Bango, Kyler Bosco, Carter Briggs, Kinley Curtis, Alianna Eckstrom, Marshall Harrington Lauson Hoisington, Bryson Hurley, Oliver Jesperson, Jaret Lang, Marisela Reyes, Blake Spess, Liam White and Seth Wiltsie. This year’s 3 yr old students were Alayna Brendlinger, Harrison Cathcart, Jaxon Chase , Jayden Danielson, Lauren Enquist, Erin Enquist, Cole Enos, Rylyn Gurdak, Bryor Graham and Riley Taylor.
