Sugar Grove Life

Pathway to Petals II

Thank you to all who came out to support the Pinegrove Lions/Lioness Garden Tour on Saturday, July 23.

It was great warm weather to be out touring gardens from Russell to Sugar Grove. Thank you to Boy Scouts Troop 17 for being at each garden station with cookies and cold water. Thank you also to Amber Penley and Mikki Gifford for the wonderful trumpet music at the Sugar Grove Park location.

Of course this would not be possible without all the lovely gardens we have in the area. Thank you to Sugar Grove Borough Council and the people who opened up their homes and gave tours all day of their beautiful gardens.

Tours were conducted at the homes of Silvia Wurst in Russell, Pat Orbanic in Russell, Judy Kipple on Swede Hill Road, Scott Wenzel in Lander, Mary Lou VanDorn in Sugar Grove, Conrad and Donna Wilson in Sugar Grove, The Sugar Grove Park, Louise Morgan in Sugar Grove, and Diane and Louis Enos with the Enos Mill and old-time carousel museum.

Thank you to all the Master Gardeners who gave tips, ideas, and helpful hints along the way. As always thanks to the Lions members who helped get things ready. We really appreciate the summer beauty throughout the northern part of the county.
