Sheffield Hospitality

511 South Main Street

Week of November 12-18

We need your help and continued input to truly make this a Community Center. I would like suggestions from the community. Would you utilize the Center if we were open some evenings? Let’s play cards or games, What about classes like jewelry making or how to use your smart phone, we have a pool table or we could just socialize and have coffee. The Hospitality Center is used three days a week as a senior center but that is not our only focus. I truly want to make this a Community Center for all ages.

The big news for the Center is the elevator is out of order. 1971 was the year the Sheffield Medical Center was dedicated; the Medical Center houses the Hospitality Center. This elevator has served us 40 plus years with no major problems till now. Many of the parts are no longer available so some major repairs and updates must be made. Thankfully it will be operational again it will take a couple of weeks to get parts and then it will be inspected. We are so sorry for the inconvenience for our guests. We will have a celebration when the work is completed.

Our activities for this week are:

Monday the 13th we will be playing phase 10 in the morning. Blood sugar testing is 10:30-11:30. Exercise at 3:00. Tuesday the14th join us for Mystery Lunch take a lunch trip to an unknown destination. Wednesday the 15th take a bus to Warren for shopping they take you wherever you want to shop. Pickups start at 8:30. Thursday the 16th we will be exercising in the morning lets work on our balance and strength. After lunch join us for Bingo. At 3:00 is the afternoon exercise bunch. Friday 17th is craft day we will be working on decorating a fall candle.

Lunch at the Center

Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday at noon call for a reservation everyone is welcome.
