The Times Observer reported on Friday that Judge Gregory Hammond issued a bench warrant during arraignment proceedings for failure to appear in a criminal case against Christopher Madigan. Madigan’s attorney, Chad Vilushis, told the Times Observer on Friday that he filed a waiver in the case which no longer required Madigan to be present on Thursday. “There was some miscommunication and that was not shared with the District Attorney’s office prior to the hearing. Bottom line, no warrant was issued afterall after this was discovered,” he said. Warren/Forest District Court Administrator Linda Critzer confirmed that “Mr. Madigan’s attorney filed a waiver with the Clerk of Court and the bench warrant was not issued.”
