Caregivers’ Support Group meeting

The February meeting of the Caregivers’ Support Group will be held at noon Monday, Feb. 19, at the Grace United Methodist Church, Wesley Parlor, 501 Pennsylvania Ave. E., Warren. Sherry Flannery, regional marketing manager of LIFE NWPA in North Warren, will present a program outlining the services provided through the agency and sharing general information about the facility. The Support Group meetings are open to any caregivers in the area, as well as those interested in learning more about Alzheimer’s Disease and other dimentias, and services offered locally. A time for sharing of concerns and suggestions for topics for future meetings is always included. The non group has been well-received and there has been some interest in starting an early evening group on the first Thursday of each month. It is expected to have the same format as the noon meeting. Watch the paper for more details on location and time.

Information will be available about an upcoming program, Effective Communication Strategies, to be presented by Jill Curtis, Education and Outreach Coordinator from the Alzheimer’s Association of Erie., at 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 21 at the Warren Hi-Ed Building. Those attending Monday’s meeting are asked to enter the building via the elevator entrance from the church parking lot. Bring a bag lunch and beverage, if desired.
