The Warren County School District high school instrumental music programs will collectively host the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association (PMEA) District 2 Band Festival in a concert on Saturday at Warren Area High School.
Due to impending weather, the time of that concert is pushed back to 12:30 p.m., according to Eisenhower High School band director Mark Napolitan.
“We belong to District 2 which includes Erie, Crawford, Elk, McKean, Potter, Cameron, Warren, and part of Mercer County,” he said. “There are 36 schools from across this region that are participating this year with approximately 160 students who will perform in Saturday’s concert. We have 14 students representing the four public school of Warren County.”
Students practice together for two days before the concert, now at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Warren Area High School.
Tidioute Community Charter School announced plans for an early dismissal today. Students will be released at 1 p.m. with buses departing at 1:15 p.m. All after school activities are cancelled. Elementary practice for Saturday will be determined before students are released.
