Halls Of Ivy

Megan Waterfield of Warren was one of 150 student volunteers for “Raider Aid: Operation Purple.” Students from the University of Mount Union collected donations at 16 businesses throughout Alliance to benefit those affected by hurricanes Harvey and Irma.

On Friday, September 15 alone, Raider Aid raised over $5,000 to be donated to the American Red Cross. Twelve students planned the event in less than two weeks by working with the Regula Center of Public Service and Civic Engagement. The day of service concluded with an on-campus rally to encourage student donations.
