Results of the Warren bridge club championship game held Monday 9/11 at YMCA were:

2nd–Marjorie Polito and Matt Oram with 72.5;
3rd–Elizabeth Howe and Carolyn Lake with 70.

2nd–Sally Steele and Dorothy Boekeloo with 76;
3rd–Mary Anne Gibson and Robert Greco with 74.
Tuesday afternoon at the Allegheny Community Center, Carolyn Cooper was first followed by Connie Michell. At the Woman’s Club Thursday afternoon, Connie Michell and Donna Hickey were first and second. Carol Stone and Laurie Curren were first and second Thursday evening at the library.
Caregivers’ Support Group meeting
The regular monthly meeting of Caregivers’ Support Group will be held at noon on Monday, Sept. 18, at the Grace United Methodist Church, Wesley Parlor, 501 PA Ave. E., Warren.
These meetings are open to any caregivers in the area, as well as those interested in learning more about Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias, and services offered locally. Upcoming programs will be outlined including those to be presented by the Alzheimer’s Association’s Educational and Outreach Coordinator, Jill Curtis, at the Hi-Ed Council Offices this fall. There will be a time for discussion and sharing of concerns. Several new books have been added to the Group’s library and are now available to borrow. Additionally, information about the Walk to End Alzheimer’s scheduled for September 30 will be available. The support group has been registered as a team and would welcome walkers to join, either in person or via email, at www.alz.org/walk. Volunteers for the day of the Walk are needed.

State dairy show
On Saturday, Sept. 16, Warren County 4-H dairy members will be showing their animals at the Farm Show Complex in Harrisburg for the annual Pennsylvania State Junior Dairy Show. Members earned the right to attend the state show by first completing their dairy 4-H projects and showing their animals during the Warren County Fair. Members traveled to Crawford County for the Northwest District Dairy show held September 2 where they qualified for the upcoming show.
The following members received a blue ribbon in their respective division and are preparing for the state show:

John Curtis of Corry junior two year old and winter intermediate Jersey animals;

4-H in Pennsylvania is coordinated by Penn State Cooperative Extension through the U.S. Department of Agriculture. 4-H programs are open to all boys and girls between the ages of 8 and 18 regardless of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, or disability.
The Warren Public Library would like to offer local published authors an opportunity to share their books, insights and experiences at events to be scheduled at the library in October and/or November.
