WASU bus trip

Warren Area Student Union is hosting a bus trip to ScareHouse in Pittsburgh to observe new ideas for WASU’s Haunted House. Everyone is invited to join us on the coach bus. We will leave at noon, stop at the Robinson Mall, then Cracker Barrel for dinner, then off to Scare House. Total cost is $52 per person. There is room for 56 people. ScareHouse is one of the scariest haunted houses in the United States. Contact Pam Falberat WASU, 330 Hickory Street in Warren, to reserve your bus seat and admission to ScareHouse for $52. We will return to Warren at about midnight.

Outdoor Club

On Saturday, Sept. 2, the Allegheny Outdoor Club will hike 10 miles in Chautauqua Gorge. This will be a splash-hike in Chautauqua Creek. Participants should wear appropriate footwear for walking in water and muddy areas. Hikers should also bring their lunch and water, plus a walking stick is strongly suggested. Participants will meet at the Jamestown Park & Ride at I-86 and Route 60 at 9 a.m. In case of rain this event will be cancelled. For more information call Dennis Anderson at (716) 969-9772.

Bridge results

Tuesday afternoon at the Allegheny Community Center, Connie Michell came in first followed by Pat Raub. At the Woman’s Club Thursday afternoon, Lynda McCollough and Nan Cashman were first and second. Joanne Massa and Connie Michell were first and second Thursday evening at the library.
