Indivisible Warren

Indivisible Warren PA will hold its bimonthly meeting this Thursday, August 24, at the DeFrees Family Center (207 Second Avenue, Warren) from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. All are welcome. For information on Indivisible, see www.indivisibleguide.com.

ReStore donations

Habitat for Humanity of Warren County’s ReStore is operating from the basement of Warren Antiques & Gifts, located at 306 Second Avenue in Warren. The space is open to sell items during the store’s normal business hours. Habitat will accept donations there on the second and fourth Saturday of each month from 10 a.m. to noon. The next dropoff dates are August 26 and September 9. Do not leave items outside of those hours. Habitat reserves the right to deny any item based on its potential resale value and/or usefulness to the organization. Questions should be directed to info@habitatwarrenpa.org.

Bridge results

Tuesday afternoon at Allegheny Community Center, Carolyn Cooper placed first with Phyllis Broadbent second. At the Woman’s Club Thursday afternoon, Pat Raub and Lynda Mc Collough were first and second. Joanne Massa and Lynda McCollough were first and second Thursday evening at the library.

Classes for beginning bridge students will begin Wednesday, Sept. 27, and continue for eight weeks at the Woman’s Club from 10 a.m. to noon. The cost for members is $40 and for nonmembers it is $50, which may be used toward dues if membership is desired. The textbook will be an additional fee. Call 723-5910 with any questions and to sign up.

Polka Sunday

The Slovenian Polka Boosters will dance from 2 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 27, at St. Marys Moose, with Vagabonds of DuBois performing. There will be music for all types of dancing and the public is invited.
