Habitat for Humanity of Warren County’s ReStore is operating from the basement of Warren Antiques & Gifts, located at 306 Second Avenue in Warren. The space is open to sell items during the store’s normal business hours. Habitat will accept donations there on the second and fourth Saturday of each month from 10 a.m. to noon. The next dropoff dates are August 26 and September 9. Do not leave items outside of those hours. Food employee certification training
Preventing foodborne illness in a food establishment is the focus of the ServSafe® Training Course to be presented by the Penn State Extension on Thursdays, September 7 and 14 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Penn State Extension Office in Youngsville. The ServSafe® exam will be given on September 14 at noon.
The registration fee is $185 per person. Those who pass the exam at the end of the training receive a certificate from the National Restaurant Association and meet the requirements of the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture for food safety training. ServSafe® certification is valid for five years.

Allegheny Center for the Arts is pleased to announce the winners of the July page for the WCCBI/ACA “Warren County Wonders 2018.” First place goes to James Muscaro for “Longhorn Love.” Second place goes to Carl Leichtenberger for “Bald Eagle Focused.” Third place goes to James Muscaro for “Morning at Oakland.”
