West Enders Get-Together

A West Enders get-together will be held on Friday, August 4, at 6 p.m. at the Bullpen.

Class to lunch

Retired ladies to meet

The Osram Sylvania retired ladies will meet for lunch at 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 4, at Docksiders.

Fire Services meeting

A Fire Services Officers Meeting will be at the Fire Barn at the Fairgrounds at 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 3.

Fair Vesper Service

The Warren County Fair Vesper Service is scheduled for 7 p.m. Sunday, August 6, at the fairgrounds’ Key Bank Pavilion.

This service is a choral music event that is not well-known. It has a loyal audience among the fair-goers that have been previously.

Choir director is Floyd Moore, pianist Vera Finger, and organist Kathleen Sears. The choir is made up of about 25 (mostly from local churches), and there are nine full choir pieces.

The audience may sing along on the well-known part of God Bless America.

There are no gate fees to attend, but a free-will offering is accepted.

Many fair food vendors are already set up and selling on Sunday evening.

Class of ’55 party

Members of the Warren High School class of 1955 are reminded to return their reservation forms for the upcoming 80th birthday party scheduled for September 15 at the Jackson Valley Golf Club. Deadline is Sept. 1. The event will be featured by a sit-down dinner followed by a cake and ice cream social and a gag gift exchange.
