Habitat for Humanity of Warren County’s ReStore is operating from the basement of Warren Antiques & Gifts, located at 306 Second Avenue in Warren. The space is open to sell items during the store’s normal business hours. Habitat will accept donations there on the second and fourth Saturday of each month from 10 a.m. to noon. The next dropoff dates are August 12 and August 26. Do not leave items outside of those hours.

Tuesday afternoon at the Allegheny Community Center, Marjorie Polito came in first with Mary Schorman in second. At the Woman’s Club Thursday afternoon, Mary Schorman and Rita Mancuso were first and second. Joanne Massa and Tana Fegely tied for first Thursday evening at the library.
On Wednesday, July 26, the Allegheny Outdoor Club (AOC)) will ride bikes in Oil Creek State Park. Participants will meet at the Petroleum Center Parking Lot at 10 a.m. For more information, call Dennis Anderson at (716) 969-9772.
On Friday, July 28, the AOC will hold a combination hike or a splash-hike along or in Brokenstraw Creek and on the hiking trail that runs alongside Brokenstraw Creek.
Those doing the splash hike should wear water shoes and bring a walking stick.
There will be a Potluck Picnic after the hike so participants should bring a dish to share and table service.
Participants will meet at the Hike-Bike Trail Parking Lot at the north end of Poplar Street behind Youngsville High School at 11 a.m. For more information, call Jonella Roundtree at (864) 555-6463.
YHS Alumni Coming Home Events include:
Friday, Oct. 6 — evening of individual alumni gatherings; Saturday, Oct. 7 — alumni breakfast at Richard’s Restaurant. All are welcome, and the side room is reserved, 9 a.m.; alumni dinner and buffet at Youngsville Fire Hall; doors open at 5 p.m. Reservations required for the dinner/dance. Cost is $20 per person, and dinner/dance reservation deadline is Sept. 23. Reservations may be mailed to Lou Ann Lauger, PO Box 235, Youngsville, Pa. 16371 (include name and class of those attending).
For dance only, doors open at 8 p.m. Dance is from 8 p.m. to midnight at the Youngsville Fire Hall, and features the band Trixx. Cost is $10 per person.
