The Youngsville High School class of 1954 will meet for breakfast at 9 a.m. Tuesday, June 20, at Richard’s Restaurant.
Youngsville Borough offices and services will be open Monday, July 3, until noon, but will be closed Tuesday, July 4, in observance of the Fourth of July holiday.
All Youngsville residents will have garbage pickup on Wednesday, July 5, only.
The borough building will be open from 9 a.m. to noon on Monday, July 3, for Farmers Market Vouchers.
Halls of Ivy
The Warren Area High School Senior Awards night was recently held for the class of 2017. The Southwell Family was pleased to present Olivia Ashbaugh as this year’s recipient of the Paula Southwell Memorial Scholarship. Eligibility criteria includes involvement in community service throughout high school, possess the same characteristics that Paula displayed of leadership, intelligence, passion and determination and, finally, an essay on how they support a social change or fight for an injustice they are passionate about.
Trystan Rushia earned his baccalaureate graduation from St. Bonaventure University this past May. He earned his BA, cum laude, in journalism and mass communications while also working (and eventually supervising) the annual alumni giving fund. He is also active in SBU sports by broadcasting for their NCAA Division I men’s and women’s basketball teams. Trystan will remain at SBU for one more year , while earning his graduate degree, an MA in integrated marketing communications, through their accelerated 4+1 graduate program. This summer, he is interning for a second time within Whirley Drinkworks’ marketing department.
