ANF receives requests to reissue 12 special-use permits

The Allegheny National Forest’s Marienville Ranger District has received requests to reissue 12 expired special use permits for six existing spring developments, two oil and gas pipelines, a fish hatchery, road access right-of-way, storage area and a liquid waste disposal area. The uses are located in Elk County and range in size from 0.005 to 53.3 acres, totaling approximately 78 acres of National Forest System lands. If approved, the permits would continue for up to 20 years. The authorized uses would remain the same, and no increase in the scope or intensity of activities would occur.
