Pumpkin Decorating Contest: Do you enjoy decorating pumpkins? If so, stop by the Warren Public Library’s Slater Room on Monday, October 24, from 3:30-7 p.m. The Library will purchase a dozen pumpkins and provide pumpkins on a first-come, first-serve basis to decorate. There will be paint, googly eyes and other embellishments available. People are also welcome to bring their own pumpkins and embellishments. Pumpkins will be placed on display for public voting. Winners will receive a $25 Tim Hortons gift card. There will be three categories of winners: family entries, 16 and younger, seventeen and older. Voting will take place October 25-28; winners will be notified on October 31. Participants can take their pumpkins home starting October 29. If you can’t make it to the Library on October 24 to decorate, enter a pumpkin decorated at home. Turn it in by 8 p.m., October 24, to the attention of Children’s Librarian Susan Slater. Please include: participant’s name, age, phone number, and pumpkin’s name if it has one. This program is made possible by a generous donation from the Kirsch-Jones Family Foundation.
