Halls Of Ivy:
Four students in the Clarion University Honors Program, including Warren Area High School graduate Eric Zavinski, presented research at the National Collegiate Honors Council Annual Meetings Nov. 8-12 in Atlanta, Georgia.
The NCHC Annual Meeting is the premier national forum for students in honors programs and colleges across the United States to present their research; admission to the student research poster sessions are highly competitive.
Zavinski, a senior communication major with concentration in journalism, surveyed regional leaders of journalism programs to report on how recent perceptions of the media impact the journalism field and how students in the discipline are trained, given recent events.
Students received financial support from the Honors Program through private donations along with additional support received from an Undergraduate Travel Grant provided by Clarion University faculty and administration.
