Crash. Warren-based state police reported that at 12:05 p.m. August 16 an unknown vehicle was traveling north on Abraham Hollow Road, pulled into Evergreen Lane to turn around and backed into the Evergreen Lane road sign. The vehicle then drove away toward Rt. 6 without stopping. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police.
Burglary. Warren-based state police reported that sometime between 1 p.m. on July 22 and 9 a.m. on August 11 a total of $1,876 in items was stolen from an Eldred Center Rd. shed belonging to John Olszewski, 48, Clinton, Pa. Police said the unknown suspect also attempted to break into a camp.
Crash. On August 23, at 9:27 a.m., Warren-based state police received a call that a silver Hyundai Sonata bearing Pa. Registration KNH-1423 was traveling west on Rt. 6 toward the City of Warren. The caller reported that the vehicle was crossing the center line and the fog line, running other motorists off the road. The caller also reported that the vehicle went into a ditch and returned to the roadway. Police stopped the vehicle near Keenan St. and determined that the driver was having a medical emergency and was subsequently transported to Warren General Hospital by EMS. Police said the vehicle’s front passenger tire was blown out and was riding on the rim. The vehicle was towed from the scene as it was a hazard where it was stopped.
Assault. Warren-based state police were dispatched to the area of the 300 block of Lenhart Road for a report of a domestic in progress at 9:13 p.m. August 11. Troopers learned that Jane Highhouse, 49, Warren, had allegedly assaulted a known 50-year-old male of Warren. Highhouse was arrested and transported to the state police barracks before being lodged at the Warren County Jail. She was subsequently arraigned and remanded to the jail on $10,000 bail.
Sugar Grove Twp.
Possession. Warren-based state police initiated a traffic stop on Busti Rd./Jamestown St. at 9:53 p.m. August 16 for a 2005 Ford Taurus reportedly without its headlights on. A known 20-year-old, of Jamestown, N.Y., was operating the vehicle, which was found to also contain drug paraphernalia. The unidentified individual was cited through District Justice Laura Bauer’s office.
