Warren man guilty of DUI charges

A Warren man was found guilty of DUI charges during a bench trial held on Thursday.

Thomas Buchanan, 601 Beech Street, was found guilty on charges including DUI: General impairment/incapable of safe driving with refusal – first offense and driving while under suspension.

According to the District Attorney’s office, Buchanan was found to be driving in the area of Schantz St. and Pennsylvania Ave., “after imbibing a sufficient amount of alcohol such that the defendant was rendered incapable of driving safely…”

President Judge Maureen Skerda presided over the trial, Buchanan represented himself and Assistant District Attorney Kord Kinney prosecuted the case for the Commonwealth.
