Conewango Twp.

Harassment, disorderly conduct. According to Conewango Township police, on Thursday, Nov. 24 at approximately 10:04 p.m., officers responded to a report of an assault at Walmart, 2901 Market St. Police said that subsequent investigation found that Angel Miguel Cruz had attacked an employee by striking him with a closed fist and attempted to choke him. Cruz has been charged with summary harassment and disorderly conduct through District Justice Laura Bauer’s office, according to police.

Pine Grove Twp.

Crash. According to Warren-based state police, on Friday, Nov. 25 at approximately 3:34 p.m., a 2002 Chevrolet Avalanche driven by Jimmie Williams, 55, of Jamestown N.Y., was traveling south on Route 62 north of South Main Street when Williams hit a 2001 Volvo S60 driven by Derek Johnson, 21, of Jamestown as Johnson was slowing down for a turning vehicle in front of him. No injuries were reported, but police said that Williams was charged with careless driving. Police were assisted at the scene by Russell volunteer firefighters and both vehicles were towed from the scene.

Brokenstraw Twp.

DUI checkpoint. According to Warren-based state police, a DUI checkpoint was set up between Saturday, Nov. 26 at 11 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 27 at 4 a.m. on Route 6. Police report that they made contact with 92 vehicles during that time, and that one DUI arrest was made at that checkpoint, with eight traffic citations and 11 warning notices issued for equipment standards and violations of the Pennsylvania Vehicle Code.
