Warren

Public drunkeness. According to police, Donna Hogan, 55, Warren, was cited for public drunkenness and harassment on March 26 after police responded to a report of a domestic dispute.

Disorderly conduct. Police said Marie Ecker, 37, Tidioute was cited for disorderly conduct on March 24 after police responded to a report of a woman being disruptive.

Underage drinking. City of Warren Police reported a 16 year old male was cited for underage drinking on March 24 after police responded to a report of a juvenile drinking.

Retail theft. Police said Shawn Thornton, 37, Warren, was cited for retail theft on March 22 after a report was made by a local convenience store that he had removed $3.39 worth of merchandise without paying.

Bad checks. According to police, Michael Dotson, 47, Brocton NY, was cited for bad checks on March 21 after he issued a check to a banking institution in the amount of $125.00 and it was returned for non-sufficient funds.

Warrant arrest. According to the Warren County Sheriff’s Office, on March 29, Sean F. Grimmer, 26, Happauge, NY, was arrested on a bench warrant for failure to appear for a preliminary hearing and arraignment. Grimmer was incarcerated in Warren County Jail awaiting further court action.

Warrant arrest. Warren County Sheriff’s Office reported that on March 29, Tyler M. Constable, 20, Warren, was arrested on a bench warrant for failure to pay fines and costs. Constable was incarcerated in Warren County Jail awaiting further court action.

Glade Twp.

Theft. According to state police, between 8 a.m. March 16 and 4 p.m. March 17, someone took items belonging to a 10 year old male at Warren Area Elementary Center during recess on the rear playground. Those items, police report, include a digital camo lunch bag, a Kindle Fire tablet with green case and a black Nike hooded sweatshirt. Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to contact Warren-based state police or Warren County Crime Stoppers. The investigation is ongoing.

Pittsfield Twp.

Criminal mischief. Chyvonne Baltes, 160 Dey Lane, Garland, reported to Warren-based state police that between 8:15 a.m. and 4:45 p.m. on March 27 someone damaged a window in her home. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police or Crime Stoppers.

Youngsville

Criminal mischief. According to Youngsville Police, on March 10 the Youngsville Police cited Steven Rutherford, 26, Youngsville, for criminal mischeif and disorderly conduct after allegedly slashing a car tire behind the Down Under Bar in Youngsville.

Harassment. Youngsville Police reported that on March 18, a known juvenile, 16, Youngsville, was cited for harassment after following another juvenile through the borough threatening and trying to get him to fight. The juvenile caught up with the victim, grabbed him and continued to threaten him, police said.

Assault. Youngsville Police said they are investigating an assault that took place March 23 at Youngsville High School where a known 16 year old juvenile punched another student after causing a disturbance in the school. Charges will be filed with the Juvenile Probation Department upon completion on the investigation, police said.

Harassment. According to Youngsville Police, at around 4:15 p.m. on March 16, a known 14 year old female struck a known fourteen year old male in the face at Youngsville High School for “no apparent reason.” Charges have been filed through District Judge Todd Woodin.

Warren

DUI. On Friday, March 25, at around 9:16 p.m., according to Warren-based state police, a 23-year-old male was stopped on Route 6 eastbound at the Route 62 exit. Police said that during the course of the stop the suspect was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia and marijuana. Police said the suspect was subsequently arrested for suspicion of DUI, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Charges are pending the result of a drug test, police said.

Clarendon

Criminal Mischief. Warren-based state police said that between 7 p.m. Saturday, March 26, and 9:30 a.m. Sunday, March 27, an unknown person damaged a 3-wheeler in Clarendon. Police said that anyone with information is asked to contact Pennsylvania State Police.

Pine Grove

Harassment. According to Warren-based state police, on Friday, March 25, at 10:46 p.m., a known 16-year-old male and a known 15-year-old male, both from Jamestown, N.Y., created a public disturbance inside the Russell Roller Rink. The suspects were asked to vacate the premises by the victims, police said, and the altercation became physical is nature when the suspects struck the victims, 48- and 39-year-old males, multiple times. Charges of Harassment and Disorderly Conduct were filed against both suspects at District Justice Laura Bauer’s office.

Harassment. According to Warren-based state police, on Saturday, March 26, at approximately 6:40 a.m., a known 14-year-old from Kennedy, N.Y., struck a 15-year-old in the mouth with a closed fist. Harassment and disorderly conduct charges were filed through District Justice Laura Bauer’s office.

Pittsfield Twp.

Found. A 20-inch, girls Huffy bicycle was found at 8:18 p.m. Monday, March 7, along Davey Hill Road in Pittsfield just south of the bridge. The owner is asked to call Pennsylvania State Police to identify it and have it returned.

Pleasant Twp.

Crash. A Kane man was cited after a two-vehicle crash at 11:30 0a.m. Thursday on Dorcon Road (Route 6) near the Pleasant/Mead township line. According to Pennsylvania State Police, a westbound car driven by Keith Brown, 20, of Kane, crossed the center line and sideswiped an SUV driven by Amy Muscaro, 52, of Warren. Police said neither driver was injured and Brown was cited for careless driving.

Sugar Grove Twp.

Crash. Pennsylvania State Police have charged a Jamestown, N.Y., man for leaving the scene after a crash at 5:34 a.m. Thursday, on Brown Hill Road. Police said Alexander Kates, 36, was driving north when his vehicle left the road, struck a mailbox and continued another 50 feet before returning to the road and leaving the scene. Police charged Kates with failing to give immediate notice of accident to police.

Investigation. Pennsylvania State Police are investigating a case of a destroyed vehicle identification number. According to police, someone ground the VIN off of an ATV that was later sold to Stephen Wolfer, of Sugar Grove. Anyone with information is asked to contact Warren County Crime Stoppers.

Freehold Twp.

Burglary, theft, criminal trespass. Corry-based state police report that sometime between 9:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. on March 20, someone removed prescription medication and money from a private residence on King Hill Road. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police in Corry at 663-2043.

Busti, N.Y.

Assault. The Lakewood-Busti police report that Jefferson A. Blake, 44, Warren, was charged with third-degree assault at approximately 7:45 p.m. on March 23 following a physical altercation. He was arraigned in the Town of Busti Court and released to reappear at a later date.

Glade Twp.

DUI. Warren-based state police reported that on March 13 at 3:47 a.m. Douglas Lee Whitmore, 57, Pine Grove Township, was found with his vehicle stuck roadside at the intersection of Jackson Avenue and Irvinedale Road. Police said Whitmore was found to be driving while under the influence and charges were filed through District Justice Laura Bauer’s office.

Harassment. Warren-based state police reported that on March 18 at 12:40 p.m. a known 16-year-old male subjected another known 16-year-old male, both from Warren, to unwanted physical contact. Police said the accused was cited via non-traffic citation for harassment.

Limestone Twp.

DUI. On March 20 at 7:41 p.m., Warren-based state police received a complaint of a suspicious person on Route 62. It was determined that a known 71-year-old male from Tidioute was under the influence of alcohol. Charges are pending BAC results. Police did not release the name of the accused.

Theft. Warren-based state police investigated the theft of three kayaks and paddles from the Hickory Creek Wilderness Ranch that occurred on Dec. 30, 2015. A press release previously ran in the Times Observer. Subsequently, police received a call regarding the present location of the kayaks and paddles and recovered them and returned them to the owner. Police said the investigation showed that the items were stolen by Rodney Leroy Johnson, 175 Hickory Creek Lane, Tidioute, and sold to an unsuspecting resident of Sheffield. Charges were filed against Johnson at District Justice Todd Woodin’s office in Youngsville.

Pittsfield Twp.

Theft. Warren-based state police are investigating the theft of an Icraig tablet from the Bristo Lane residence of Robert L. Crane, 39, Garland. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police or Warren County Crime Stoppers.

Tidioute

Disorderly conduct. Warren-based state police said that Gregory Lowell Blake, 58, Cambridge Springs, caused a public disturbance at the Tidioute Hotel on March 22 at 5:48 p.m. Police said Blake was cited for disorderly conduct through District Justice Todd Woodin’s office.

Warrant arrest. Warren County Sheriff’s deputies reported that on March 22 at approximate 8:42 p.m. Christopher King, 27, was arrested on a bench warrant issued by the Warren County Court of Common Pleas for failure to appear for his Fines and Costs court hearing on Feb. 23. King was placed in the Warren County Prison pending further court action.

Glade Twp.

Theft. Warren-based state police report that on March 22 they received a complaint that a tenant had removed both one large and one short dresser belonging the landlord. According to police, charges of theft and receiving stolen property have been filed.

Columbus Twp.

Burglary. According to Corry-based state police, sometimes between March 13 and March 19 someone arrived at the property at 9071 Route 246 by unknown means. Once there, police said, the individuals entered the residence and stole a Marlin .22 caliber bolt action rifle. Police said the rifle as an older model, and that it has a dark brown stock with some bluing on the barrel still tact. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at 663-2043.

Warren

Warrant arrest. On March 21 at approximately 2 p.m. Warren County Sheriff deputies arrested Keith E. Urey, 26, Cooperstown, Pa., on a supervisor’s warrant for probation violations and a bench warrant for failure to appear for fines and costs. Urey was incarcerated in the Warren County Jail awaiting further court actions.

Warrant arrest. On March 21 at 1 p.m. Warren County Sheriff deputies assisted by New York State Police arrested Jeremy Steves, 35, Gowanda, N.Y., on an arrest warrant on the charge of willful failure to pay child support filed by the sheriff’s office through District Justice Laura Bauer’s office. Steves was taken before District Justice Glenn Carlson and placed in the Warren County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail. He was also arrested on a domestic relations bench warrant and placed in the Warren County Jail. On March 19, New York State Police came into contact with Steves after they made a traffic stop on a vehicle and arrested Steves on the warrant.

Warrant arrest. On March 21 at approximately 4:30 p.m. Warren County Sheriff deputies with assistance from the Warren County Adult Probation Department arrested Adreana J. Eck, 25, Warren, on a supervisor’s warrant for probation violations. Eck was incarcerated in the Warren County Jail awaiting further court action.

Conewango Twp.

Harassment. Warren-based state police report that at 8:43 a.m. on March 14, a known 23-year old male ran into a known 26-year old male at 33 Main Drive, and tried to punch him in the head and face. Police said the accused had to be restrained by multiple people. A charge of harassment was filed through District Justice Laura Bauer’s office. Police did not release the names of the parties involved.

Freehold Twp.

Theft. Corry-based state police report that sometime between 12:01 a.m. on May 5, 2015, and midnight on March 10, 2016, an oil vat belonging to Buffalo Biodiesel was stolen from 38980 Route 6.

Limestone Twp.

Burglary. Warren-based state police report that sometime between 1 p.m. on Nov. 28, and 3:30 p.m. on March 11, someone forcibly entered a camp on 66 Cottonwood Lane by prying a rear door open, and removed two firearms and several magazines valued at approximately $950. Sheffield Twp.

Theft of a motor vehicle. Warren-based state police report that at 7:22 a.m. on March 20, Victor Marvin Luce III, 22, Reading, Pa., took the keys of a 2014 Volkswagen Beetle and drove the vehicle to his residence in Reading. The vehicle was located by personnel from Exeter Police Department at Luce’s residence and recovered. Luce was not at the residence. Police said felony charges for theft of a motor vehicle and receiving stolen property have been filed, and a warrant has been issued for his arrest.

Watson Twp.

Crash. Warren-based state police report that at 6:30 a.m. on March 19. Nathaniel M. Laroche, 25, Cranberry, was traveling south on Pleasant Drive in a 2010 Dodge Caliber when he fell asleep and traveled off the roadway, striking an embankment. Police said and Laroche was cited for driving on the right side of the roadway.

Pleasant Twp.

Crash. Warren-based state police responded to a one-vehicle accident on Route 62 on March 17 at 9:30 a.m. According to police, Clayton A. Roxberry, 23, Tidioute, driving a 2002 Dodge Neon, was traveling south on Route 62 and reportedly fell asleep, dropping off the shoulder before striking and shearing off a Verizon utility pole. The vehicle then rotated clockwise and overturned, coming to rest on the driver’s side. Police said Roxberry received minor injury and denied medical evaluation at the scene. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

Theft. A handgun, a Davis Industries .308 caliber semi-automatic pistol, was reported stolen from a private residence on Route 27 in Eldred Township between Feb. 1 and March 9. Anyone with information is asked to contact Pennsylvania State Police at 728-3600.

Limestone Twp.

Theft. According to Pennsylvania State Police, three green, Old Town kayaks with a total estimated value of about $1,000 were stolen from a camp in the 2500 block of Economite Road West, Tidioute, between Feb. 1 and March 15. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Warren barracks of Pennsylvania State Police.

Warrant arrest. On March 16 at approximately 7:45 p.m. Warren County Sheriff Deputies arrested Nathan E. Southwick, 22, W. Fifth Ave., Warren, on a supervisor’s warrant for probation violations. Southwick was incarcerated in the Warren County Jail pending further court action.

Columbus Twp.

Car theft. Pennsylvania state police are looking for information about the theft of a motor vehicle between noon and 6 p.m. Monday, March 7, from Kucnick’s Automotive in Columbus. According to police, two men in a silver Ford F-350 towing a 30-foot trailer took the vehicle. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the Corry barracks at 814-663-2043.

Mead Twp.

Theft. Pennsylvania State Police are asking for information regarding an incident in which someone threw two boxes full of household items into a dumpster at Budget Lodge, Route 6, Mead Township, and fled between 11:45 a.m. and 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 13. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Warren County Crime Stoppers.

Pine Grove Twp.

Theft. Warren-based state police reported that between Jan. 20 and March 16 someone stole a yellow and black Kaeser 210cfm compressor from Cable Hollow Rd. belonging to Dana Wellington, Russell. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police or the Warren County Crime Stoppers.

McKean Co.

Warrant arrest. On March 14 at approximately 7:30 p.m. Warren County Sheriff’s Deputies with the assistance of McKean County’s Probation Department arrested Holli Ann Hull, 42, Haines St., Kane, on a supervisor’s warrant for probation violations. Hull was incarcerated in the Warren County Jail pending further court action.

Theft. City of Warren police reported that Blaine Beatty, 24, Warren, was charged with theft from a motor vehicle, receiving stolen property, four counts of access device fraud and access device fraud attempt on March 10 following an investigation into a theft of a purse from a motor vehicle. He was taken into custody and placed in the Warren County Jail on an emergency commitment.

Disorderly conduct. City of Warren police reported that Matthew Henry, 24, Warren, was cited for Disorderly Conduct on March 11 after police came across a group of people yelling in a parking lot.

Conewango Twp.

Found property. On March 13 at 5 p.m. an envelope was recovered in the North Warren area. Anyone wishing to claim this should call the Conewango Township Police at 726-0725 and provide an accurate description.

Glade Twp.

Crash. Warren-based state police responded to a one-vehicle accident on March 13 at 5:35 p.m. on Cobham Park Rd. south of E. Fifth Ave. A 2000 Ford Crown Victoria, driven by Michelle L. Dickson, 20, Warren, swerved to miss an animal that ran into her path of travel. The vehicle then traveled across the southbound lane and off the berm, striking an embankment before traveling approximately 48 through the ditch. Dickson was transported to Warren General Hospital by Glade VFD for treatment of minor injuries.

Mead Twp.

Crash. Warren-based state police responded to a one-vehicle crash on March 12 at 8:25 a.m. on US 6 west of Dutchman Run Rd. A 2016 BWM 325i, driven by Hridayesh K. Pathak, 62, Fort Myers, Fl., crossed into the westbound lane and left the berm and struck a tree. The vehicle continued in a southeasterly direction approximately 30 feet down an embankment, spinning counterclockwise and traveling 77 feet before impacting a mobile home. Police were assisted by Clarendon and Glade volunteer fire departments, EmergyCare, National Fuel and Koebley’s Towing. Pathak was cited for driving on roadways laned for traffic. He was transported to Warren General Hospital by EmergyCare.

Pleasant Twp.

Found property. Warren-based state police reported that on March 7 a Cold 10mm Auto magazine was found in the 200 block of Pleasant Dr. Anyone with information on the owner or wishing to claim the magazine is asked to contact police at 728-3600.

Criminal Mischief. According to state police, a juvenile subject was charged with criminal mischief on Saturday March 12 at 7:30 p.m. The juvenile intentionally broke several items belonging to a victim at 170 Dey Lane in Pittsfield.

City of Warren police would like to remind residents to lock their vehicles. With the warm weather, subjects have been found going through vehicles for loose money and valuables. Police advise that if anyone should witness a person going through their vehicle, do not approach the person or try to make contact with them in any way. Police advise you to keep visual contact and call 911.

Retail theft. State police are investigating a retail theft that occurred at the Family Dollar store on March 10 at 12:40 p.m.

Sheffield Twp.

Crash. State police report that at 4:15 p.m. March 10, Marjorie E. Villarreal, 57, Sheffield, was traveling north on Route 666 in a 2005 Honda CRV when it traveled on to the northern berm. Her vehicle then crossed over to the southbound berm and struck a guide rail, continued traveling north until it came to rest in the southbound lane. Sheffield Volunteer Fire Department transported her to Warren General Hospital with unknown injuries. Unspecified charges were filed.

DUI. Warren police report that Mark Crossley, 25, Warren, was charged with DUI, DUI .16 or higher, DUI- accident with damage on Feb. 26 after police found his vehicle parked oddly in the middle of the street.

Terroristic threats and harassment. Warren police report that Andrew Miles, 50, Warren, was charged with terroristic threats and harassment on March 5 after police received a report of a physical altercation with the victim and after leaving he began calling the victim and made threats to physically harm the victim and his friends. Miles was placed in the Warren County Jail on an emergency commitment.

Public drunkenness. Warren police report that Ashley Kiser, 22 Warren, was cited for public drunkenness on March 6 after police could hear people yelling from a parking lot.

Public drunkenness. Warren police report that Kimberly Wynn, 40, Sheffield, was cited for public drunkenness on March 6 after police responded to a report of a possible domestic dispute.

Youngsville

Terroristic threats. Warren-based state police reported that on March 10 at 3:22 a.m. at a private residence on W. Main St. Daniel Eric Ristau, 29, Youngsville, entered into a verbal argument that turned physical with a known 29-year-old female. Police said Ristau subjected the victim to physical contact and threatened her. Ristau was placed in the Warren County Jail on an emergency commitment and charges of terroristic threats, simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct were filed with District Justice Todd Woodin’s office.

Eldred Twp.

Criminal mischief. Warren-based state police report that at 9:22 p.m. on March 7, troopers responded to a location at Route 27 and Eldred Center Road in reference to a distressed person driving erratically. They discovered Kyle John Bedow, 19, Grand Valley, had driven his vehicle into a garage. Bedow told them he had intentionally driven off the roadway and into the garage. Damages are estimated to be in excess of $50,000. He is being charged with one felony count of criminal mischief, one misdemeanor count of recklessly endangering another person and numerous summary traffic citations through District Justice Todd Woodin’s office.

Theft by deception. Warren-based state police report that between 9 a.m. on Feb. 24 and 4 p.m. on March 3, an unknown person defrauded a 62-year old victim on Cobham Park Road out of money in exchange for a loan. The investigation is continuing.

Southwest

Township

Theft. Warren-based state police report that sometime between Feb. 16 and 26, a known person removed survey spikes, temporary wooden and permanent metal survey stakes from property owned by New Growth LLC on Goodwill Hill Road. Police said the total stolen property and restitution is to be determined.

Obedience to traffic control devices. City police reported that John Jackson, 56, Russell, was cited for obedience to traffic control devices on March 3, following a two- car accident at the intersection of Conewango and Pennsylvania avenues.

Retail theft. City police reported that a juvenile female was cited for retail theft after police responded to a report of a shoplifter on March 3 at a local convenience store. Items totaled in the amount of $6.

Public drunkenness. City police reported that Charlotte Silves, 61, Warren, was cited for public drunkenness on March 3 after police responded to a report of an intoxicated female at 7 p.m..

Public drunkenness. City police reported that Ashley Kiser, 22, Warren, was cited for public drunkenness on March 6 after police observed her causing a disturbance at 1:05 a.m. on a city street.

Following too closely. City police reported that Carol Widrig, 68, Westfield, N.Y., was cited for following too closely on March 6 following a two-car accident at the intersection of Pennsylvania and Conewango avenues.

Busti, N.Y.

DWI. Lakewood-Busti police report that Shawn A. Oshany, 27, Warren, was charged with moving from lane unsafely, DWI and DWI per se on March 5 at approximately 8 p.m. following a minor traffic accident on Big Tree Road. Oshany was transported to the Lakewood Busti Police Department for processing and was later released to a third party.

Conewango Twp.

Crash. Conewango Township police reported that on March 3 at 11:19 a.m. Wava Fox, Warren, was pulling out of the parking lot of Midtown Motors onto Rt. 62. As she pulled into the roadway, she pulled directly into the path of another vehicle being driven by Laurie Darr, Warren. Darr was unable to avoid impact and subsequently crashed into the drivers side of Fox’ vehicle. Darr was transported to Warren General Hospital by EmergyCare for treatment following the crash. Fox was uninjured. Both vehicles were towed from the scene by Koebely’s Towing Service. The North Warren VFD assisted police at the scene.

Sugar Grove

Theft. Warren-based state police reported that someone removed several items from a residence belonging to Coreen Eleanor Rulph, 38, Harmon St., Sugar Grove, before fleeing the scene in an unknown direction. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Warren County Crime Stoppers. Police said the investigation is ongoing.

Crash. State police report that on Feb 26 at approximately 3:42 p.m. Arlene L. Elsea, 85, Corry, was driving a 2016 Chrysler 200 on Route 6 waiting to turn left at the intersection of West Washington Street in Wayne Township. Two vehicles approaching turn right onto West Washington, and after the second car turned, she believed she had time to make the left turn, and an eastbound 2015 Subaru Outback, driven by John T. Burge, 64, Columbus, struck Elsea’s vehicle. Passenger Mary A. Burge, 62, Columbus, in the Subaru and Elsea were transported to Corry Memorial Hospital for minor injuries.

Mead Twp.

Public drunkenness. State police report that at 9:15 a.m. on March 1, Ralph Parks Haight IV, 36, Clarendon, brought his dog into the Dollar General store on Route 6, and was visibly intoxicated. He was cited with public drunkenness through District Justice Laura Bauer’s office.
