June 8: JDFC’s Touch A Truck, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Plan to come out for a day of fun with trucks and vehicles of all shapes and sizes. There will be a VIP hour at 9 a.m. for a purchase of $5/ticket, includes a special welcome goody bag and events just for the VIPs, and no long lines. Call the Jefferson DeFrees Family Center, (814) 723-6350, for tickets. There will be a sensory-friendly quiet hour from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Mondays, June 10-July 29: Toddler Time, 10:30 a.m. –Warren Public Library Children’s Department for ages 1-4. Stories, songs, crafts and creative STEM play.

June 11: Hug a Bug a Boo with Mrs. Kate, 10:30 a.m., Slater Room, Warren Public Library. Join Parent’s Choice Award winner Mrs. Kate for lively interactive music, storytelling, puppet show. Preregistration appreciated. Leave a message for Ms. Susan, 723-4650.

June 12, 26; July 3, 17, 24, 31: Reading Wednesday, 10:15 a.m. — Warren Public Library Children’s Department for ages 4-8. Stories, songs, games, creative STEM play.

June 13: Suites at Rouse Outdoor Concert Series, 6 p.m. Free concert (Take 5).

June 14: Music in the Park, 7 p.m., Soldiers & Sailors Park, Touch of Gold (country).

June 15: First day of Farmer’s Market, 8 a.m. to noon, Warren Municipal Lot.

June 15: Garland VFD chicken BBQ, noon, Friendship Field, Pittsfield.

June 17: The 26th annual Special Olympics benefit golf outing will be held — with a.m. and p.m. starts — at CVCC. For information, call (814) 688-0599.

June 18, 25; July 2, 9, 16, 23, 30: Build It Up, Take It Down, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. — Warren Public Library Children’s Department for all ages. STEM play with large wooden blocks, LEGO, Bee-Bots, Alpha-Bots, Magna Tiles, and other toys.

June 18: Miss Star Cluster, 10:30 a.m., Slater Room, Warren Public Library. Stories, songs, games and a world of fun. Preregistration mandatory, attendance limited. Leave a message for Ms. Susan, 723-4650.

June 19: Pete the Cat Visit, 10:30 a.m., Reading Room, Warren Public Library. Join us for Pete the Cat stories, songs, and meet Pete. Take photos with Pete at Scholastic Fair. Preregistration appreciated. Leave a message for Ms. Susan, 723-4650.

June 20: Food & Fun Festival, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., St. Joseph School lot. The Warren County Children’s Advocacy Center will host a variety of food trucks from around the area, as well as other vendors and activity booths. There is no admission fee. Just bring plenty of money to enjoy awesome food and fun.

June 27: Irvine-Newbold Tour: 6 p.m., Thursday, June 27. Meet at the Wilder Museum, 51 Erie Avenue, Irvine, PA 16329. Appropriate footwear required. $5 per person. 723-1795 www.warrenhistory.org

June 13-15 St. Joseph Church and School Annual Rummage Sale. Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon (for $1 a bag day). All proceeds benefit St. Joseph Catholic School.

June 27: Warren Philharmonic presents “Star Spangled Spectacular,” a free outdoor concert by the fountain on Second Ave., 7 p.m.

July 11: “The best chicken BBQ you will ever have!” Tickets will be available for purchase as the event approaches. Advanced purchase recommended. Wilder Museum of Warren County History, 51 Erie Avenue, Irvine.

July 22-26: History Camp — Campers in grades 4-8 are invited for a week of historical fun! Includes tours of the Kinzua Dam, Seneca Iroquois National Museum, Simpler Times Museum, Hearts Content, Erie Maritime Museum and19th century fishing vessel, and more! Limited availability. $99 per camper to Warren County Historical Society, 210 4th Avenue, Warren, PA 16365.

August 4: Historical Society’s Oakland Cemetery Picnic & Tour; pack a picnic lunch and then learn about some of the historic people buried in Warren’s largest cemetery. Oakland Cemetery, 37 Mohawk Avenue, Warren.

October 13: Warren County’s Got Talent, hosted by Women’s Care Center of Warren. For registration/more info., call 814-723-4357.

Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays: Have You Visited the Book Cellar? In the lower level of the Warren Public Library. Selection of books for children, Teens, and adults, plus DVDs & puzzles; priced from $.25- $4.
